Hiya! Looking at my last newsletter, it seems that it has been about eighteen months since I last sent a message. Sorry. In my defence, I have been very busy. Although ironically, I have had precious little to share in terms of prints on sale, which is what I primarily used this to tell you about. So maybe it’s been about the right amount of time between messages - who knows, it’s a mystery never to be sold.
ANYWAY, I have some new prints coming out that you might like, so lets get to that:
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
On Valentines Day, the very excellent Spoke Art and the Roxie Theatre in San Francisco held a screening of Eternal Sunshine (a film I love) and they asked me to make a poster for it. So I did! You can look at it just down there. I wrote on Instagram about how it’s an idea I first sketched back in 2016, and have had just sitting there waiting for the right time, which as it turns out, was now.
The screening variant and super secret Facebook group variant (shhh) have already sold out, but the regular edition goes on sale THIS THURSDAY. Given how fast the variants sold out, I would set your alarms. Thanks to Ken, John and Hector (and everyone at Spoke and the Roxie),
The print drop is at 6pm UK / 1pm Eastern / 12pm Central / 10am Pacific at the Spoke Art website.
One Love
As you probably know, the mighty Rob Jones, formerly of Mondo/Third Man Records/Being A Great Dude is now Creative Director at Vinyl Me Please (along with his crack team of Jenni, Oliver, Alan and Gabe). What this means is that there’s going to be a whole mess of great art on record sleeves and posters to accompany their releases. The team reached out and asked me if I would be interested in making some art for the soundtrack to the new Bob Marley biopic One Love. Obviously I did, otherwise this whole paragraph would be redundant.
You can find it on sale NOW over at Vinyl Me Please as both a record AND a record/poster bundle
Coming Soon
Due to Factors, I didn’t make many posters last year. I am remedying that in 2024 by making ALL THE POSTERS. There’s two up there already and I’m halfway through one for one of my favorite movies, and I have another completed and waiting for studio approvals for what might be the biggest movie of the year. There’s a couple of teases below, but i’m feeling pretty optimistic about the next twelve months. Let’s see how long it takes for those to be dashed shall we?
Thank you as ever for supporting my work, buying prints, following me on social media etc. You can find me on Instagram and Threads but no longer Twitter (for reasons that should be obvious).
I wont leave it so long next time x
